Christmas Cards
Here are some of the Christmas Cards I made this year.
There is a great tutorial with instructions in the CTMH TV section of my website, under the "Crazy for Cards" episode. The instructions show you how to make 20 cards like this, with each one being a little unique by using 10 sheets of cardstock and 5 sheets of patterned paper.
I used the Merry and Bright stamp set but in the instructions, they use the Evergreen set.
This pattern would work with many different papers and stamps - great when you want to make a batch of cards.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas
'Twas the night before Christmas,
I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa
brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock
or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cricut, I said,
with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him,
"Hi Santa!" I said.
"You know, good little girls
should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa,
And now I've been caught,
'Cause I'm so excited
To see what you brought!"
"Well, let's take a look
in this room where you work."
He shook his head quickly,
And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim
as he put it in gear:
"You've got enough crap,
I'll see you next year!"

Holiday Mail For Heroes
This year as I plan my Christmas cards, I'm making and collecting a batch to send to American service men and women through the Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program. If you're sending out cards, I urge you to send them at least one.
In the coming days, I'll post ideas for making Christmas Cards and instructions.

Happy Birthday Tim
Here's a birthday card I made for my husband for his 49th. It's a Tri-fold card made using scraps from 'It's a Guy Thing' paper pack.
I cut a piece of olive cardstock to 8 1/2 X 12" then folded it into 3 4"x81/2" sections.
The front also uses 4 garden green brads and brackets from the Dazzling Diecuts package.
On the inside flap, I used letters from Dazzling Diecuts and three more garden green brads.
This is the back of the card.
The inside unfolds to this baloon bouquet. This was made with carstock baloons cut on a sizzix machine mixed with cutouts from the Guy Thing paper. I also used rub ons.
Tim really liked the card, so it was worth the work.

Cardstock Techniques
On my website you can watch a short video that will show you different techniques for achieving different looks from Close To My Heart's white core cardstock. Techniques include tearing, crumpling, sanding and dry embossing.
I used dry embossing to make the subtle white borders on the pink baby layouts.

Baby Layout
This layout was inspired by a design I saw in a Close To My Heart publication. The first page is from the birth of my friend's daughter. The second page is baby Siena at 6 months. She's a beautiful little girl with sparkling eyes.
I used baby pink cardstock for the backgrounds. I dry embossed a border and sanded it to bring out the white core of the cardstock.
Paper used is from the Sweet Pea set.
Just Blooms Big Pinks flowers have buttons for the centers and ribbon for the stems.
The name Siena is made with Dimensional Elements letters wrapped in Sassy Strands
I also added a few sitckers from Sweet Pea My Stickease

These two scrapbook pages tell the story of my favorite clock, that I bought earlier this year.

Make it Count stamp set
I added a quote from white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, and printed a picture of him on the purple paper to use as an embellishment.

I caught a fish and he was This Big
My husband and I love to fish, but we hardly ever have a chance to. Also, we have never caught anything while we were together. This summer we got to go fishing on Donner Lake and I caught one.
Here are the scrapbook pages I made to commemorate the occassion.
For this one I used the "Bottom Border Footnotes" layout design from Reflections.
This layout uses the "Triple Play Offset" layout design from Reflections. The fish is actually really small, so I enlarged him in a copy of the picture, cut out the biger version and mounted it over the original picture. You can still lift up the enlargement to see how small he actually was. This just cracked up my husband.
The paper used is Rustic Trail
Embellishments are from Rustic Trail My Stickease plus some fishing line.
Stamp sets used are:
Catch of the Day
Hook, Line and Sinker
Relax (C1237)

Art & Soul
Now you can find the first episode of Art & Soul on my webite. When you watch this first episode, you will get directions for making this special memory box, which is a great way to save and display all those momentos that don't lend themselves to a flat scrapbook page.
You can watch this show by going to my website www.tinataylor.myctmh.com and clicking on CTMH TV.
If you'd like to make your own, you can order the items needed (and get a 20% discount) right from my website by ordering item #w9918.

4) Cut card base from New England Ivy green cardstock from It's a Guy Thing paper pack, fold in half
5) Cut tan background paper from It's a Guy Thing paper pack, just a little smaller than card front. Stamp bottom of paper with candles from Birthday Bash (D1086) Stamp set along bottom, and add two brads to the bottom corners.
