Close to My Heart Convention

This video shows highlights from the 2011 Close To My Heart Convention. This year it was held in Anaheim. I didn't go this year, but have been to two past conventions and found it to be an amazing experience. A couple thousand scrapping women in one place for a few days of inspiration, creativity and motivation.

Grand Prix Museum

I made these great layouts so quickly with Studio J. They use the Game On paper pack. On-line scrapbooking is so convenient for pages like this where you want to squeeze in a lot of pictures.






I am a racing fan from way back, and on a recent business trip in England, I had the good fortune to come across this wonderful museum. I was blown away by all the cars they had on display. So much history.

New Orleans Layouts

I recently got to spend a weekend in New Orleans with my good friend Lora. We had a blast! One day we went to Mardi Gras World and we loved it - it was a great place to take pictures.

I made these layouts using Studio J, using the Hooligans Paper.

Here is another great layout using the Wings paper design. This one was made (By Close To My Heart - not by me) with Studio J, the on-line scrapbooking design studio. Back Country Magic Layout

I love our new "Magic" design guide! I used the same pattern (Mesmerize) that Melanie did in the video showing her Christmas layout. When I made the layout using Close To My Heart's Back Country paper and some pictures from a trip to Alaska I got a completely different look. These patterns are very versatile. In the Magic book, each pattern shows a layout that you can use like I did, and tips and techniques to make interactive pages, like Melanie did.

How to use our new spray pens

This video gives a nice instruction on how to use Close to My Heart's new spray pens. These are a lot of fun. You can mix reinker with water for added color, or include create a shade pearl paint for glimmer. You get one spray pen included in the Wings Workshop Kit and after February 1 you can buy a three pack for just $3.95

Ally's 12th Birthday

This is my layout from the Wing's Kit. I used photos from Ally's 12th birthday which went perfectly with the paper!

This project uses a new spraypen technique which was a lot of fun.
